Felix Prado, 87, passed away October 10, 2020. Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020, at St. Francis Catholic Church 826 Cottonwood with Father Isidora Ochiabuto officiating. Burial will follow at Abilene Municipal Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home.
Mr. Prado was born April 11, 1933, in Abilene, Texas to Cirilo and Oliva Prado.
Survivors include sons Michael Prado of Abilene, Peter Prado of Los
Angeles, CA, Gabriel Prado of Abilene, Michael Marquez of South Gate, CA, and Sergio Valasco of Montebello, CA; daughter Geraldine Prado of Whittier, CA; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Pallbearers include Michael Prado, Gabriel Prado, Sergio Valasco, Mark Herrera, Santiago Estrada, and Mark Hayward.
Mr. Prado was preceded in death by his parents; three sons Daniel Prado and Felix Prado; daughter Yvonne Prado; four brothers Gabriel, Pete, Simon and Lupe and three sisters Felipa, Ramona and Manuela.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14,2020, at Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th Street.
