Michael L. Stemple

<p>Michael L. Stemple, 72, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2020.&nbsp; Born June 16, 1948 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Sydney and Jane (nee Miller) Stemple.&nbsp;</p> <p>Michael graduated from Wellington High School in 1966 and received a bachelor&rsquo;s degree from Baldwin Wallace.&nbsp; He continued his training with the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy becoming a Sergeant, before his retirement.</p> <p>Michael was a big Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Karen (nee Conklin) Stemple; children, Eric (Melissa) Stemple of Galloway, OH and Laura (Bruce) Queen of Grove City, OH; grandchildren, Alex, Emily and Ethan and brother, David Stemple.&nbsp;</p> <p>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Stemple.</p> <p>In keeping with Michael&rsquo;s wishes, a private family burial will be held.&nbsp; Donations may be made in Michael&rsquo;s memory to the funeral home in care of the family.&nbsp; Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be expressed at www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.</p>

So sorry to hear of his passing.  He was a pleasure to talk to from when I worked part time at the Highway Patrol many years ago.

I spent many weekends at the Stemple residence with Mike! We were friends from the start when they moved to Wellington. I remember we would listen to WLS Chicago radio station till late in the night. He will be missed.
