Freddrake Hicks Jr. 55 better known as "Fat Rat" transitioned Saturday, October 10th, 2020 at Hendrick Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 17, 2020 at 10am at Faith Deliverance Community Church with Minister Michael Clay officiating. Visitation will be held Friday 6-8pm at North's Funeral Home Chapel. Freddrake was born December 17th, 1964 in Los Angeles to parents Freddrake Hicks Sr. and Margie Booker-Sims. He received his primary education from Los Angeles Public Schools. After High School, he attended Trade Tech Community College and started a long career in food service. Freddrake moved to Texas in 1985 and worked as a Cook. He was a cook at Furrs Cafeteria, Joe Allens BBQ, and lastly he worked at Cracker Barrel for 10 years. One thing Freddrake loved to do was Groove and play Dominoes. He also liked to watch sports, but most of all he loved hanging out with his family and friends. Left to cherish his memories are his mother Margie Sims of Abilene, children; Shontera Snow, Shantera Snow both of Abilene, Natasha Hicks of Oklahoma, Leighondra Hicks of San Angelo, sisters: Robin Stewart (Terry) of Houston, TX. Kimberly Wilson (Ronnell) of Abilene, Margie Denise Sims (Michelle) of Abilene, Jaquelyn Clay (Michael) of Abilene, brother Hertis Sims III of Abilene, sister Qiana Hicks of California, 8 grandchildren, and a host of extended family and many friends. Freddrake was preceded in death by wife Kimberly Hicks, father Freddrake Hicks Sr., brother Ronnell Sims, sister Candi Sims, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
