Patricia Milligan Mistric Obituary

Patricia Milligan Mistric, beloved mother and friend. On the afternoon of Thursday, October 8th, 2020, Patricia gained her wings while surrounded by her children and loved ones at the Nexus Specialty Hospital in The Woodlands, TX. She was 79 years old. Patricia Louise Milligan was born on March 1st, 1941 in Galveston to George C. and Iola Mae (Vickery) Milligan. She was one of nine children. As an adult, she moved and settled in Montgomery and the North Houston area, but the island always held a special place in her heart. She leaves behind her loving children Karen (Randy) Ackerson, Kevin (Chassie) Sheridan, Tracey (Anthony) Fowler, and Charles (Amanda) Mistric Jr., grandchildren Megan Ackerson, Randy Ackerson Jr., Mackenzie Ackerson, Kayden Brimhall, Vickie Fowler, Jessica Fowler, Tyler (Diane) Mistric, Cameron Mistric, Priscilla Mae Mistric, and Emma Gene Mistric, great grandchildren Jason Hearnsberger and Serenity Hearnsberger, as well as too many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members to name. She considered numerous others who grew up in and around her household as her own, including Mike (Tina) Mistric, Kimberly (Greg) Coleman, Johnny (Karen) Pyles, Mona (Ron) Dunn, Shelley (Tim) Southworth, Sherry Kologinczak, and Debbie Hatfield. She also had a special bond with former daughter-in-law Sheila Brooks, friend Judy Grammer and maintained a loving relationship with her Mistric relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charlie Milligan, Marvin Milligan, Glen Milligan, Eugene Milligan, and Bobby Milligan, sisters Martha Whitson, Glenda Mae Milligan, and Doris Taylor, and son Kenny Sheridan. She spent 25 years working as a dedicated employee at Valero, retiring in 2011. Pat always had time for anyone at her table and enjoyed cooking for family and guests. She entertained family and friends frequently for many years at the family property in Montgomery. A celebration of life will take place at McNutt Funeral Home on Saturday, October 17th, 2020 at 2pm. The family invites loved ones to attend a visitation beginning thirty minutes prior. A reception will be held at the residence of Tracey Fowler on Saturday, November 7th, 2020. Patricia’s ashes will be disbursed privately in Galveston and Montgomery at her request. Thank you to all our family and friends for the support and calls during this time. If roses grow in heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for me, Place them in my Mother’s arms and tell her they’re from me. Tell her I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile. Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, but there’s an ache within my heart that will never go away.
