Born in Antigonish she was a daughter of Shirley and late James Chisholm. Besides her mother, Marlene is survived by her partner Malcolm (Mac) Harding, two step-sons, Tanner and Tyler; sister Darlene (Billy Wallace), Antigonish; niece/Goddaughter Michelle (Shane Townshend); grandnieces and nephews Gabby, Bella, Domonic, Dawson, Damien, Thorburn; special cousin Debbie (Jack) Linkletter, Antigonish; special aunt Mary B. (Wayne) Burton, Vancouver, after whom she was named, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by her biological mother and step-father Mary and Walter DeWolfe, biological sisters Vera, Antigonish; Carrie (Kevin) LePorte, Ont.; Kenny (Barb) DeWolfe, Boston, Mass., and several step-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, James Chisholm; maternal grandparents, Patrick and Emily Linkletter; paternal grandparents John and Agnes Chisholm; Godparents Kay Smith and Lesley Linkletter and several aunts uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12 from 6:00-8:00 pm in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Tuesday in St. Ninian Cathedral, Rev. Donald MacGillivray presiding. Burial at a later date. COVID-19 protocols will be in place for both visitation and funeral. Masks must be worn. Donations to Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke, Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association Online condolences: www.MacIsaacs.ca
