James "Clab" O. Holden, age 87, of Poplarville, MS passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. A native of Purvis, MS, he grew up in Poplarville, MS. Clab was a retired Warden for the Pearl River County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of the Baptist Faith, a Mason, and a US Army Veteran. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar James Holden and Alberta Lee Holden. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 48 wonderful years, Lora Mitchell Holden; children, James H. Holden, Terry Jo Holden Purvis, Darryl L. (Jerri Lynn) Holden, Cazz W. Holden, Freddie E. Rester, and Pamela D. (Fernando Garcia) Beech; grandsons, Taylor VanBuren Rester, A. J. Rester, Caleb Holden, Cody Holden, Chris Holden, Shane Holden, and Holden Rester; granddaughters, Tasha Beckham, Chloe Holden, Kaci Purvis, Joelle Purvis, Shannon Holden, and Brittany Rester; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Farrell Holden; sisters and brothers in law, Alice Faye and Ivan, Elaine and Don, Liz and Johnny.
