Graveside services for Lanell Skipper, 81, of Jackson, LA will be held at Legion Memorial Cemetery on Monday, October 12, 2020 at 2PM with Bro. Kevin Skipper officiating, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Lanell Skipper was born on Monday, January 02, 1939 in Lamesa, TX and passed away Thursday, October 08, 2020 at her grandson and her home surrounded by her loved ones. She married the love of her life James Skipper and resided in Newellton, LA. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her two great-grandsons. She was a loving wife, mother, and loved the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Skipper, Sr., her three sons, James Skipper, Jr., Bobby Joe Skipper, and Jerry Don Skipper; grandson, Justin Wade Skipper; granddaughter, Angel Shea Skipper; and her three brothers, Joe, Bob, and Carol Lisenbee. Lanell leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Janet Skipper Barron of Foules, LA grandson, Jared Wayne Skipper & his wife Elizabeth of Jackson, LA; granddaughter, April Johnson & her husband Daron of Deville, LA; and two great-grandsons, Cayden Wade Skipper of Round Rock, TX and Dakota Chase Skipper of Jackson, LA, Pallbearers will be Jared Skipper, Dakota Skipper, Cayden Skipper, Daron Johnson, Roy Skipper, Wesley Aymond, Isaiah Aymond, and John Butler. The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday on Monday, October 12, 2020 from 12noon until we proceed to the cemetery at 1PM.
