Theresa Adolph (nee Seitz) of Neudorf, SK, passed away peacefully at St. Paul Lutheran Home in Melville, SK, on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at the age of 88 years.

Theresa was born March 9, 1932, west of Unity, SK, in the Senlac area, to Jacob and Eva Seitz; she was one of Jacob and Eva’s nine children. Theresa was baptized, confirmed and later married at St. Joseph’s Church in the countryside close to Senlac. Theresa’s mother died at a young age, shortly after giving birth to the youngest daughter. After Theresa’s older brothers and sisters started leaving home, she played a big part in raising her siblings and taking care of the family.

Theresa married Elroy Adolph from Neudorf, SK, in 1954 after their pen pal relationship; they farmed southwest of Neudorf. In 1956 they were blessed with twins, Brent and Brenda. Later, in 1960, they were blessed with their youngest son, Greg. In their early years, times were hard on the farm, having no power, milking cows and maintaining a big garden.

Theresa and Elroy enjoyed attending their children’s events and activities, followed by their grandchildren’s. In their later years, Theresa and Elroy enjoyed spare time fishing, visiting with friends, and going on the odd camping trip with family. For many years, they both enjoyed their annual fall trip to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Elroy passed away in 1989, soon after which Theresa retired from the farm and took up residence in the village of Neudorf, where she took pride in her garden and enjoyed playing cards, getting together with friends and neighbours and going out for afternoon coffee with friends. Theresa greatly looked forward to spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending any events they were a part of.

All through Theresa’s life, she maintained a firm devotion to her faith - going to church and attending mass was always important to her.

In 2012 Theresa moved into Roadside Manor in Neudorf, where she lived until she moved to St. Paul Lutheran Home in Melville in April 2020.

Theresa was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Eva Seitz, her husband, Elroy, son Greg, daughter Brenda, son-in-law Clifford Goebel, sisters Margaret (Tony), Katherine (Herb and Bill), brothers Tony (Lucille), John and Vincent Seitz, and her brother-in-law, Florian. Theresa is survived by her son, Brent and daughter-in-law Debbie and their children, Jesse (Amanda) and their family, Alexander, Axavier and Avery, and Jolene (Adam) and their family, Lucas, Shane and Madison; Brenda and Clifford’s children, Sal, Amanda and Aimee (Scott) and their family, Kyle and Daniel; daughter-in-law Shannon, and Greg and Shannon’s children, Kyla (Brad) and their family, Boston and Marcus, and Carley (Andrew); her sisters, Evelyn (Elmer) Hazzard, Helen Richeloff and Caroline (Ed) Aikens; sister-in-law Susan; and many nieces and nephews
