Jewel Irene ( Matthews ) Rogers

June 21, 1920 – October 5, 2020

 

In loving remembrance of Jewel Irene ( Matthews ) Rogers, of Star City, Arkansas. Who met her loving Savior at her home, surrounded by all of her children.

She married her loving husband, William Calvin Rogers, of Star City, Arkansas, on October 11, 1934. He passed away in 1998.

Travis and LelaBelle Matthews, of Star City, Arkansas were her parents.

Jewel had 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Her children are William Victor Rogers and wife Judy of Coos Bay; Dorothy Bell and husband Raymond of Atlanta, GA; Paul Rogers ( deceased ); JoAnn Rogers of Yakima, WA; Pauline and husband Frank Montgomery of Coos Bay; Jackie Rogers of Salem; and Shirley Duncan of North Bend.

Jewel was a long time member of the Landmark Church in North Bend. She loved and was a most faithful attender there and was known for her pecan pies and homemade quilts and loved all of her socials with friends.

Jewel had seven children,  and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren…too numerous to list. She loved them all and they loved her.

Jewel loved her family and, most importantly, lived her life for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
