<p>David Lloyd Reuscher, Jr, age 69, of Long Beach, passed away on October 5, 2020.<br /> <br /> He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Reuscher; a son, Michael Reuscher; his parents, David L. Reuscher, Sr. and Laverne Reuscher.<br /> <br /> Survivors include his wife of 5 years, Sunshine Reuscher; close friend, Onah Meyers; and other relatives and friends.<br /> <br /> Mr. Reuscher retired from the U.S. Navy ager 23 years of service. He later worked as a substitute school teacher at Long Beach High School and also he worked for NAVO at Stennis Space Center. He was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church where he was a member of the choir and served as a lector. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4898. He enjoyed playing softball for the Navy, sailing, and fishing. David will always be remembered by his distinctive laugh. One of his greatest times in the Navy was in Antarctica when he was working to rescue penguins.<br /> <br /> In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children&rsquo;s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.<br /> <br /> The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.<br /> <br /> The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Long Beach, is serving the family and online condolences may be offered at www.riemannfamily.com</p>

David Lloyd Reuscher, Jr, age 69, of Long Beach, passed away on October 5, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Reuscher; a son, Michael Reuscher; his parents, David L. Reuscher, Sr. and Laverne Reuscher.

Survivors include his wife of 5 years, Sunshine Reuscher; close friend, Onah Meyers; and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Reuscher retired from the U.S. Navy ager 23 years of service. He later worked as a substitute school teacher at Long Beach High School and also he worked for NAVO at Stennis Space Center.
