Cheryl Etta Todd was born September 10, 1949 in Hannibal, Missouri to Betty (Brotherton) and Norman Giest.  The family later moved to California.  Cheryl graduated in 1967 from Garden Grove High School in Garden Grove, California.

Cheryl was united in marriage to Ronnie Todd on June 30, 1990 at Saylorville Lake, Iowa.  They settled in Des Moines.  In 1998 she moved to California to take care of her mother.  Ronnie later joined her in 2000.  Cheryl worked as a manager of telemarketing for a printing company, Budget Marketing. They continued living in California until they returned home to Iowa and residing in Mount Ayr until her passing on Monday, October 5, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law N.S. and Pauline Todd; daughter Elizabeth Todd; son Jack McComaf; brother Norman Giest; sister Dena Giest; brothers-in-law Bill Vandermark, Rick Todd and Ed Todd. 

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 30 years Ronnie Todd, Sr. of Mount Ayr; son Ronnie Todd, Jr. of Des Moines; brother-in-law Harold Todd; sisters-in-law Brenda Vandermark of Mount Ayr, Kitty Butler of Spokane, Washington, Susie Peterson of Pocatello, Idaho, Angel Todd and Lori Chapen both of Des Moines; grandchildren Mathew Jorgenson of California, Joshua Jorgenson of Des Moines and Christopher Jorgensen of Chicago, Illinois; great-grandchildren Jenna Todd and Ericka Todd; special nieces Courtney Forehand and Shelby Vandermark; God daughters Tammy Torrey and Bobbie Jo Torrey; lifetime friends Chris Brown and Ron Rauch of Des Moines; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
