Lois Nadine Toppings
GALENA, KANSAS: Lois Nadine Toppings, age 92, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Westgate at Wildwood Ranch, Joplin, MO following a sudden illness. Nadine was born on October 19, 1927 in Galena, KS to Henry Marvin and Goldie (Fanning) Myers. She worked at Tamko in Joplin, MO for several years and spent the remainder of her working years at the Local 200 Union in Joplin before retiring in 1991. She was a life-long member of Spring River Apostolic Faith Church, Galena, KS. She was married to Herbert William Toppings on June 14, 1958. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Henry Myers, Bob Myers, Ted Myers, Neal Myers and Kenneth Myers. She is survived by her son Gary Toppings (Christy), two granddaughters, Rebecca Evans (Tom) and Shelby Toppings (Daniel) and four grandsons, Aiden, Cameron, William and Owen. Also surviving are two sisters, Delores Smith, Galena, and Marjorie Boulware, Webb City, MO. Graveside services will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Hill crest Cemetery, Galena, KS. Van Boulware will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.Obituary
