<p>Mary Ann Lucero of Socorro, New Mexico gained her wings on October 2, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Mary Ann was born May 11, 1957 to Gabriel and Frances Baca. She was married at the young age of 18 to Paul Lucero. She devoted her whole life to raising her daughters and grandchildren. She was the loving mother of Jennifer and Monica Lucero. She was a cherished grandmother to Xavier Chavez, Mariah Figueroa, Javin Saavedra, and Najiah Lucero. Beloved great-grandmother Javier Valasquez and Javin Guillermo Saavedra. She loved her close friends, Patsy Baldonado, Crusita Sanchez, and Annette Gonzales, all of whom she referred to as her sisters. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Tom and Connie Ebler; Gloria and Donnie Billa; Anthony “Beetle” and Marie Baca; Tony Montoya; Helen Baca; Tammy Baca; and her favorite little sister, Arlene Baca. Mary Ann entered into eternal rest with her grandparents, Guillermo and Felicita Baldermas; her parents; her brother, Adolfo Baca, Sr; her sister, Patricia Montoya; and her daughter, Virglyn Lucero. Mary Ann had a heart of gold and was the rock of the family. She shared a special, strong bond with all of her nieces and nephews. She was the light of the family and the life of the party. She wore her heart on her sleeve and would cry at the drop of a dime. She always kept her home immaculate and her front door open for friends and family to drink coffee. Mary Ann will be forever loved and deeply missed by those who’s lives she touched. A Rosary to be recited on Friday, October 16, 2020, at 9:30 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro, New Mexico with a Mass to immediatly follow at 10:00 am with Father John Anasiudu presiding. Burial will take place at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery following service. Pallbearers will be Anthony "Beetle" Baca Sr., Anthony Baca Jr., Andrew Baca, and Robert Tafoya.
