Javier Gonzalez-Chavez, 63, of Baytown, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020, in Houston.
Javier was born August 6, 1957 in Quitupan, Jalisco, Mexico, to parents; Jose Gonzalez and Ma. Marina Chavez, a former resident of Phoenix, and has resided in Baytown for over 30 years. He was a retired electrician and loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Gonzalez was preceded in death by his mother: Ma. Marina Chavez, wife: Luz Maria Gonzalez-Torres, sons: Javier Gonzalez, Jr. and Alejandro Gonzalez, and sister: Guadalupe Rangel-Gonzalez. He is survived by his children: Carlos Gonzalez and wife Elisa Nieto, Zandra Carmona and husband Andy, Leni Gonzalez and husband Jose Jimenez, Mayra Gonzalez and wife Nancy Moreno, Luz Gonzalez, and Evett Gonzalez, father: Jose Gonzalez, sisters: Lucila Rangel-Gonzalez, Juana Alvarez-Gonzalez, and Consuelo Cardenas, brothers: Roberto Cardenas and Efrain Gonzalez, numerous grandchildren, one great-grandchild, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with rosary services at 7 p.m., Friday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment following at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.
