Katherena Murney

Kathy Murney, beloved wife of Gilbert, passed away on Monday, October 5th, 2020 at the age of 80 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, “Gib”; children, Wanda Lazar of Medicine Hat, AB, Dean (Kate) Murney of Devon, AB, and Rosa Murney of Calgary, AB; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother; three sisters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Helen Werezak; one brother, Felix Werezak and grandson, Austin Lazar. Raised on the farm north of Raymore, Kathy married Gib in 1959, and they raised their family on the farm north of Semans. Kathy curled and played softball while active in the figure skating club, the new arena, the first Semans homecoming and other community events. They moved into town in the early 90’s, and relocated to Medicine Hat in 2005 for their retirement years. A family graveside service will take place in Saskatchewan at a later date.
