It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Walter Raymond Lamb on 2 October 2020, at the age of 80, surrounded by his family.

Walter was born in Killarney, MB on 23 October 1939 and attended school in Killarney and Ninga.  At a young age, Walter moved to his grandparent's farm in the Dunrea area.  On 10 November 1962 Walter married the love of his life, Helen Anna Watson.  They continued to live on the farm where they raised dairy for many years.

Walter was a 4-H dairy leader, a 4-H Rowland woodworking leader, a 4-H beef leader and was the leader of the Junior Rifles.  Walter had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, golfing, playing pool and cards.  His latest hobby was crafting harnesses and carts for his model horses.  He also loved to go for a drive to check the surrounding crops and visiting with everyone he met.

Walter was admitted to the Killarney hospital on 31 August 2020.  The family would like to thank everyone at the Killarney hospital, specifically Dr. Bemmett and the amazing hospital staff.  Walter loved to tease everyone and could be quite stubborn, but he and the hospital staff came to an agreement early on in his care that allowed everyone to look after him like he was one of their own.  For this the family is eternally grateful.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Helen, their sons, William (Heather), Robert (Sarah), Kevin (Alissa), and Stanley (Jessica), their grandchildren Bradley, Chris, Angela, Tyler, Stanley Jr., and Kyle: and Great-Grandchildren Beau, Silvia, Rylee, Ashlyn and Benett.  Also remembering him are his siblings: Arthur (Elaine), Margaret, Violet (Owen), Bert and Shirley.  Walter also has many nieces and nephews that he cared for with great fondness who will miss him dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ray and Edith, his sister Beatrice and his brother James.

A graveside service will be held at the Margaret cemetery on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 2:30 p.m.

Due to the current COVID environment there will be no reception following the ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made in Walter's memory to the Make A Wish Foundation.

Rest easy now Walter.  the crops are off.
