Obituary

Timothy Carl Friesen
September 17, 1955  -  October 3, 2020

Keep watch dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous; and for all your love’s sake. Amen -The Book of Common Prayer

On Saturday October 03 at 8:05pm, under a bright beautiful moon, Tim Friesen quietly died surrounded by love and Vivaldi. Tim fought a brief, gracious and completely positive battle with cancer. To delight in his memory are Pam, Matthew (Jennifer), Sarah (Daniel), Joanna (Noah) and his seven princesses - Esme Lyla, Isabelle Julia, Maevis Katherine, Claire Lily, Charlotte Grace, Hannah Linie, Hazel Anne, and his brothers Eric and Paul.

His dedication to train and complete full marathons demonstrated his commitment and drive to overcome any obstacles he encountered throughout his life, great and small. Tim shared his life long passion for literature and music of all genres with everyone. His generosity of spirit touched many, and there will be a tremendous void left in his absence.

We would like to thank Doctors Moheb and Meriam Basta, Altona Memorial Health Centre, Altona Palliative Care, Boundary Trails Cancer Care and Cancer Navigation Clinic. The care you showed Tim and our family leaves us breathless. We will think fondly of you forever.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tim may be made to Altona Palliative Care.

“And please, let’s not forget to make it a fabulous day!”
-TCF
