Max E. Spencer, 89, DuBois, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at his home. Born May 28, 1927 in Akron, OH, he was the son of the late Clinton C. and Millie M. (Warden) Spencer Sr. He married Evelyn J. Egbert on October 26, 1956 in Ohio. Max retired as the maintenance supervisor from Portage County Nursing Home. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Ravenna, OH. Max enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He is survived by two children, Danny (Kim) Spencer of Ohio and Suzanne Spencer of Houtzdale; eight grandchildren, Stephen, James, Kristal, Allen, Christopher, Jason, Jacob, and Jackie; sixteen great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Dennis Spencer of Grampian and Melvin Spencer of Akron, OH. Max was preceded in death by his wife, parents, four sisters, three brothers, and a son, Mark. Services were private and held at the convenience of Max’s family.
