<p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:22px;">Alexis Monique &quot;Mama Cake&quot; Cosey, 36, a resident and native of Morgan City, LA, passed away peacefully on Friday October 2, 2020 at 3:28 PM at her residence.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:22px;">Visitation will be observed on Saturday October 17, 2020 at the Mount Zion Baptist Church from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM&nbsp;(<em><strong>All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). </strong></em>Pastor&nbsp;Larry Frank will officiate the services. Burial will follow funeral services in the Morgan City Cemetery.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:22px;">Memories of Alexis or &quot;Mama Cake,&quot; as she was known to many, will forever remain in the hearts of her parents, Brenda (Saul Jr.) Grogan and Verelyn &quot;Ben&quot; (Tanisha) Cannon; six&nbsp;brothers, Carlton Cosey all of Morgan City, LA; Wybra &quot;Dude&quot; Jackson, Terrence (Ronata) Cosey and Bryant Jackson all&nbsp;of Patterson, LA, and Benjamin Jackson and Benjamin Bartley both of Houston, TX; two sisters, Dominique (Ernest) Harvey of Thibodaux, LA and Shantell Bartley of Houston, TX; her paternal grandparents, Will &amp; Bettie Cannon, Jr. of Morgan City, LA; her god-mother Shelia Moses; two god-children, Kerille Walker and Sarai Richardson, two aunts, nine uncles, two great-aunts,&nbsp;five great-uncles and a host&nbsp;nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:22px;">Alexis was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Shirley and William Pinn and one uncle, Roman Cannon.&nbsp;</span></span></p>

Alexis Monique "Mama Cake" Cosey, 36, a resident and native of Morgan City, LA, passed away peacefully on Friday October 2, 2020 at 3:28 PM at her residence.
