<p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">Howard Joseph &ldquo;Joey&rdquo; Daughdrill passed away at his home in the Winborn Chapel community on the morning of Thursday, October 1, 2020. He worked 42 years at Ingalls Shipbuilding as a Draftsman and Program Coordinator. He graduated from Jones County Junior College with a degree in drafting. He promoted education at every opportunity to anyone who would listen. He retired at age 62 to enjoy what he loved most, his family. He never let his family doubt how much he cared for each of them. He loved road trips and fishing at The Camp. Another favorite activity was watching his grandchildren and great grands play sports. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all of them.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Greene Daughdrill and Marjorie Mcleod Daughdrill, and sister Camille Churchwell.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 55 years, Lottie Williams Daughdrill.&nbsp; Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Kayla Daughdrill Kirchharr, Terri Daughdrill Rice (Keith), and Ginger Daughdrill Moons (Joey);&nbsp; five Grandchildren, Anna Jolynn Lewis, Sara Lewis Mcleod (Jonathon ), Morgan Lynn Moons, John Harris Rice, and Joseph Robert Rice; five Great Grandchildren, Eli Wesley Lewis, Sophie Annabella Page, Jerome Curtis Page, Fin Lane Mcleod, and Lak Sailor Mcleod. He is also survived by two sisters, Lana Spiers and Charlotte Mcleod (Andy), and a host of relatives and friends.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">A Graveside Service will be held at Cooley Cemetery on Vernal River Road, Saturday, October 3rd at 3:00 in the afternoon with Bro.&nbsp;Danny Box officiating.&nbsp;Pallbearers are Johnny Spiers, Michael Keith Rice, John Harris Rice, Joseph Robert Rice, Joseph Scott &ldquo;Joey&rdquo; Moons, Jonathon Nathanial Mcleod, and Stanford Rouse (Honorary). Howard Joseph “Joey” Daughdrill passed away at his home in the Winborn Chapel community on the morning of Thursday, October 1, 2020. He worked 42 years at Ingalls Shipbuilding as a Draftsman and Program Coordinator. He graduated from Jones County Junior College with a degree in drafting. He promoted education at every opportunity to anyone who would listen. He retired at age 62 to enjoy what he loved most, his family. He never let his family doubt how much he cared for each of them.
