Just two days shy of celebrating 104 years of a remarkable life filled with love and happiness, Ruth Keith Schwarz entered Christ’s eternal rest.
Ruth was born to Francis and Fleta Keith on October 02, 1916 in Van Alstyne, Texas. In 1933, she married Fred G. Schwarz. To this union were born Carol Schwarz (Sowell) and Charles Keith Schwarz, Sr.
She is preceded in death by her husband Fred G. Schwarz, daughter, Carol Schwarz Sowell, and son Charles Keith Schwarz, Sr., son-in-law Maynard Sowell, her parents, four brothers and their spouses, as well as her three sisters and their spouses.
Surviving grandchildren include: Lance Sowell, Keith Sowell (Loree), Brett Sowell, Scott Sowell (Grace), Ruth Kirk (Jared), Charles Keith Schwarz, Jr., Crystal Weaver (Bobby) and daughter-in-law, Josie Schwarz. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, as well as great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Ruth was an accomplished seamstress who also enjoyed quilting and painting. She loved the Lord and to read God’s word. Her life will be remembered as a testimony of Christ’s love.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 10, 2020, in Van Alystne Cemetery, Van Alystne, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Believer’s Bible Church, Corsicana, or to a favored charity. Ruth was blessed in her final years with the loving care of her Heritage Oaks Assisted Living family. Her family appreciates their kindness, compassion, and unwavering constant care and devotion.
