It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Eric John Martin announces his passing. Eric was Promoted to Glory at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Center, Baie Verte, NL on Thursday, October 1st, 2020 at the age of 91 years. Eric is predeceased by wife – Ruby (Lacey) Martin; parents – Jacob & Lavinia Martin; parents-in-law – Henry and Emma Lacey and siblings - Maisie Martin, Doris Wimbleton, William Martin, Irene Newbury & Boyce Martin, Jacob Martin. Left with fond and loving memories are children – Jeanette Foss (Malcolm), Pickering, ON and Chris Martin (Carmen), Black Brook, NL; grandchildren – Jason Foss (Kelly), Tyson Foss and Erika Foss; great-grandchildren – Emily and Brayden; sister – Joyce Burton, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, Corps family and innumerable friends. Major Gerald Lacey, assisted by Captain Kay Barnes conducted a Private Family Funeral Service at The Salvation Army Citadel, La Scie, NL. Interment followed at The Salvation Army Cemetery, La Scie, NL. We encourage extended family and friends to share condolences, memories and/or photos to Eric’s memorial wall, available on our website. All items will be documented and displayed in our personalized guestbook and presented to the Martin family. A Heart full of thanks to the staff and residents of White Bay Retirement Center for their loving care of our dad.
