Shirley Ann Fuentes

Shirley Fuentes 79, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on September 25, 2020 at home after a valiant battle with cancer. Shirley was born March 27, 1941 to Lloyd and Delores (Dudney) Reeder in Des Moines, Iowa, and later graduated from East High School. Shirley went on to work for Farm Bureau Financial Services in Des Moines, Iowa before moving to California. In California she spent many happy years working at Chevron Land Management and then, Boeing before retiring and moving to San Antonio. Shirley and her husband Raymond were both Eucharistic Ministers at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Santa Ana, California. They spent many hours volunteering for the St. Vincent De Paul society providing food to those in need. Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Fuentes. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Maddox (John) Mays and Grandson Christopher Maddox. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
