Marjorie Germain Obituary

On Thursday, October 1, 2020, loving wife and mother, Marjorie Germain, passed away at the age of 61. Marjorie was born on November 18, 1958, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to Marie Andre Pinette and Guy Metellus. She attended Rockland Community College and received her Nursing Degree at Rockland BOCES. On July 14, 1984, she married Ronet Germain. Together, they raised three sons, Jonathan, Jethro, and James, and two daughters, Gerlynn and Yudine. Marjorie had a love for God that was evident in her service as the First Lady of the Evangelical Christian Alliance Church of Spring Valley, NY. Here, she served alongside her husband for 30+ years and was known for her encouraging ways especially towards the ministry's young people and women. Marjorie's love for music meant she could be found singing, dancing, or listening to some of her favorites such as a chantsonette in between serving others both professionally and ministerially. Marjorie enjoyed decorating for various events including weddings, church celebrations, and other special occasions. However, it was Marjorie's infectious smile, big heart, and compassionate, person-centered ways that were her signature. Marjorie was preceded in death by her father Guy; her mother Marie Andre; and her sisters Elsie Cyril and Yolette Julien. She is survived by her husband Ronet; her five children Jonathan, Jethro, Gerlynn, Yudine and James; her grandkids Londyn, Peyton, and Sarayah; her brother Jimmy; her aunt Mercedes; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 12th, 2020 at the Evangelical Christian Alliance Church of CMA. The viewing will be from 8 am to 9 am. Immediately following the viewing, due to safety concerns in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the family is requesting that all guests view the Farewell Service via Livestream. Following the service, all are welcome to accompany the family to the burial site, where CDC social distancing guidelines will be practiced and enforced. We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time and are thankful for all your thoughts and prayers. Flowers and Donations may be sent to 26 Summit Avenue, Spring Valley, NY
