Selma-Jeanette Renfrow Coats, 53, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Johnston UNC Health Care surrounded by her family. Born in Johnston County on September 8, 1967, she was the daughter of Bennie and Jean Renfrow. Jeanette was a faithful and dedicated member of New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church. In her younger years, she loved racing. Most recently she found great satisfaction in watching YouTube videos or watching the latest episode of Dancing with the Stars or Survivor. The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Jasper Renfrow officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In addition to her parents, Jeanette is survived by her husband, Keith Coats; daughters, Amber Kaye Coats Price and husband, Robert and Elizabeth Ann Friel Coats; sister, Pam Smith and husband, Greg, and their daughter, Samantha Littleton; grandchildren, Bridget, Willow, Sage, Rachel, and Andrew; her faithful canine companion, Toby; and several nieces and nephews.
