Nathan Allen Smith
Nathan Allen Smith, 51, of Palatka, passed from this life unexpectedly from natural causes on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Born in Alma, Michigan, Nathan moved to Putnam County in 1971 from Alma and graduated from Palatka High School in 1989. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. Nathan had worked for 12 years at Georgia Pacific as a back tender. He had also attended Southside Baptist Church. In his leisure, Nathan enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a die-hard Florida Gators and Dallas Cowboys fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary L. Smith, Sr. Nathan is survived by a son, Gage Smith of East Palatka, his mother, Helen Smith of Palatka, 2 brothers, Gary Lee Smith (Debbie) and Danny Smith (Sandy) all of Palatka, a grandson, Zayne Allen Smith and his nieces and nephews, Brandon Smith of Orlando, James Smith, Taylor Smith and Alex Smith, all of Palatka.
