<p>Geraldine Ethel Hopewell, 86 of Kindred, North Dakota died Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at her son&rsquo;s home.</p> <p>Geraldine was born on March 24, 1934 to James and Ruth Anna (Biesterfeld) Johnson in rural Milnor, North Dakota.&nbsp; She was raised in rural Milnor where she attended Scoville Country School. &nbsp;Geraldine was united in marriage to Gerald Hopewell on February 11, 1953 in Lisbon, North Dakota. &nbsp;After working for a few different ranchers out of the area, they made their home in rural Leonard.</p> <p>Geraldine spent her life taking care of the family that she and Gerald had together and loved very much.&nbsp; She was a woman of great faith and prayed for her family daily.&nbsp; She also enjoyed gardening, quilting and crocheting.&nbsp;</p> <p>Geraldine is survived by her children, four daughters, Cynthia Hopewell of Fargo, ND; Dianne (Dale) Mischke; Karen (Kenneth) McMahon; both of Kindred, ND; Lucinda (Michael) Goetz of Fargo, ND; four sons, Geoff Hopewell; Jesse (Wanda) Hopewell; Jack (Lori) Hopewell; Jeremy (Pamela) Hopewell all of Kindred, ND; nineteen grandchildren, Rachel (Mark) Thompson, Stacey (Mat) Meshefski, Nichole Helbling, Matthew (Jamie) Mischke, Jamie (Scott) Murrell, Alisha (Chris) DeBilt, Danielle Mischke,&nbsp; Andrew (Morgan) Hopewell,&nbsp; Stephanie (Matthew) Kalinowski, Daniel (Jackie) Hopewell, Daniel Monson,&nbsp;Mariah (James) Nienhuis, Kaylyn Hopewell, Levi Hopewell, Jared Hopewell, Emily Duval, Mason Hopewell, Amber Hopewell, Alexis Hopewell, &nbsp;twelve great-grandchildren, sister, Pearl Sweet of Lisbon, ND; numerous nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald (2013), siblings, Edith Larson, Mary Yackley, Irwin Johnson, Glenice Milbrandt, Genevieve Gruba.</p> <p>Private Family Service: Friday, October 2, 2020 at Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon, ND.</p>

Geraldine Ethel Hopewell, 86 of Kindred, North Dakota died Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at her son’s home.

Geraldine was born on March 24, 1934 to James and Ruth Anna (Biesterfeld) Johnson in rural Milnor, North Dakota.  She was raised in rural Milnor where she attended Scoville Country School.  Geraldine was united in marriage to Gerald Hopewell on February 11, 1953 in Lisbon, North Dakota.  After working for a few different ranchers out of the area, they made their home in rural Leonard.

Geraldine spent her life taking care of the family that she and Gerald had together and loved very much.  She was a woman of great faith and prayed for her family daily.  She also enjoyed gardening, quilting and crocheting.
