Maria Angelina Braga, 92, of Summit St., East Providence died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 28, 2020. She was the wife of the late Antonio L. Braga. Maria was born on April 28, 1928, in Sao Miguel, Azores, a daughter of the late Joao and Angelina (Marques) Sousa. Maria Angelina was happiest when she was surrounded by her family especially when cooking and sharing meals with them. She loved crocheting, flowers and gardening. She is survived by her children, Antero “Andy” L. Braga, Riverside, Maria Helena Rodrigues of East Providence, Filomena Sousa-Rosa of NC, Antonio Braga of East Providence, John Braga of East Providence, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson Mark Braga. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10am in Sacred Heart Church, Taunton Ave., East Providence. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Private. The family appreciates the Beacon Hospice Staff for their compassion, kindness and thoughtfulness.
