Debra Jane Giacchino

Debra Jane Giacchino, age 65, passed away in the comfort of her own home on September 25, 2020. Debra was born on July 1, 1955 to Robert and Nila Ploeckelman (nee Gruenewald) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Debra is survived by her daughter Sarah (Clint Widerberg) Mulhern; granddaughter Josie (Matthew) Zuehlke; great-grandchildren: Elliana and Ezra Zuehlke; sisters: Sherry (Paul) Brady and Patti McDougall; brother Tom (Carol) Ploeckelman. Further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many friends. A special thank you to Jamie Harland, who was like a daughter, as well as “special friend” Anita, who loved and helped Debra till the end. Debra is preceded in death by her parents; sister Sandra Wanke; and ex-husband Robert Flintrop. Debra enjoyed her family more than anything, however, she loved feeding the birds and being outside with nature, fishing was a big passion of hers with her beloved William Giacchino. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Debra’s name be made out to: The American Cancer Society. A celebration of Debra’s life is being planned for 2021, when it is safe to do so.
