JOHN M. CANTRELL
<p><span style="font-size:20px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">CANTRELL, John M., of Coventry, RI, passed away peacefully with family by his side on September 28, 2020 in Providence, Rhode Island at the age of 62.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">John is survived by his daughter Amanda Cantrell of Somerville, MA, his siblings Elizabeth Cantrell and Thomas Cantrell of Coventry, RI, his sister Ellen Cantrell of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, FL, and his parents Rosemary and James of Hernando Beach, FL.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">John was born on September 24, 1958 in Erie, PA to Rosemary Cantrell (née McCormick) and James Cantrell. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History. John worked for Cox Communications for over 30 years, acting in multiple capacities. John was a dedicated father, person of deep faith, lifelong learner, and lover of the outdoors. He spent many days skiing, hiking, kayaking, and fishing throughout New England. He was a committed fan of college sports and rooted for the Boston College Eagles.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Visitation will be held Friday, October 2, 2020 from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in SS. John & Paul Church, 341 South Main St., Coventry, RI, 02816. All are welcome to attend and celebrate John's life. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
