King</p> <p>Bras d’Or/North Sydney</p> <p>It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, uncle and friend, Ernie King, 88, on Sunday, September 27, 2020, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.</p> <p>Born in Bras d’Or on October 23, 1931, he was the son of the late Harry and Florence King.</p> <p>Ernie was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the Royal Canadian Regiment (RCR).</p> <p>He is survived by his sisters, Mae Todd, Dartmouth; Marion Savolainen (Bill), Ottawa; two brothers, Bunny King (Florence), Ralph King (Rodney), both of Bras d’Or; by several nieces and nephews and his very good friend, Linda MacNeil.</p> <p>Besides his parents, Ernie was predeceased by two brothers, Art and Bill.</p> <p>There will be no visitation by request. Cremation has taken place. A private burial will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bras d’Or.</p> <p>Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of W.J.
