A native and lifelong resident of the Jackson area, she was born December 28, 1945 the daughter of the late Walter Jennings Bone, Jr. and the late Elizabeth Swinford Bone. Beverly was a 1964 graduate of Murrah High School and attended Mississippi University for Women. She served as treasurer and was an organizer of many MHS class reunions. At her core Beverly was always a helper and a supporter of others. This shined through in her professional career as an administrative assistant for several businesses and corporations. Through her loving nature and giving spirit she made many lifelong friends during her career. Throughout her life, she was active in her community, including serving as an ambassador for the Madison Chamber of Commerce and enjoying active membership in the Madison Garden Club. Beverly was a wonderful wife and a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Family was what she held most dear, and her grandchildren were one of the greatest joys in her life. Beverly was affectionately called BeBe by her grandchildren as well as by her nieces and nephews. She loved to travel, especially escapades with her family to the beach. The beach was her happy place, and she married her loving husband, Jimmy, in St. Thomas. The care and devotion he showed to her in their time together and especially over the last few months was immeasurable. Beverly was a talented amateur artist who dedicated much of her time lovingly drawing and painting for her grandchildren. Like her beloved mother, Beverly loved the color purple and making others feel special and truly loved in her presence. She was a member of St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Madison.
