Marion Hale

It is with deep sorrow, Sandra and Allan announce the peaceful passing of their beloved Mother Marion Isabel Hale on September 27th 2020. at Valley View Villa , which has been her home for the last 15 months. Marion was the daughter of Clifford and Pearl ( Marshall) Porter. Marion married the love of her life, Elmer Hale and they raised their family in Westville. Marion worked at the Bank of NS in Stellarton briefly,then worked at Hicks Wholesalers for 30 years. Marion was an avid crafter. Knitting and crocheting were her passion and many newborns made their first debut, modeling one of her beautiful creations. Marion loved her trips to Ontario and Maine, Newfoundland and Labrador and Western Canada to visit family but was happiest when every one came home to Church Street so she could spoil and cook for them. No one ever left Marion’s table hungry!! Marion was a member of the Michelin retirees club and continued to enjoy the weekly card games and get-togethers until her health started to fail. Marion loved her town’s July 1st Celebrations and would be front and center wearing her white and red I Am Canadian attire!! Marion was an active member of St Andrews Presbyterian Church Westville, and the Westville Heritage Club. Marion is survived by her daughter Sandra (Reg) MacDonald Westville and her son Allan (Sharon) Hale, Fall River; her beloved grandchildren Alison (Brad) Hillier, great grandchildren Porter and Easton, Calgary; Jill (Chris) Burke great grandson Carter, Lwr Sackville; Sean (Megan) Hale great grandchildren Finnegan and Poppy, Regina; Ryan (Lois) Hale great granddaughter Freya, PEI, and grandsons, Jason and Nick ( Christina ) Mac Donald HRM Marion was predeceased by her parents, her husband Elmer Hale, Sister Mae Roy her brother in law Gordon Roy also her sister in law Lucy (Hale) Harmon and niece Debbie Harmon. Her funeral service will be held Thursday Oct 1st at 2 pm at Eagles Funeral Home in Westville with Rev. Gail Johnson Murdoch officiating. Due to Covid restrictions, SEAT RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. PLEASE CALL 902-396-4144 FOR SEATING. MASKS ARE ALSO REQUIRED. Burial immediately following at the Auburn Cemetery , Union Street Westville. Great grief denotes great love You will missed by so many Gramma Till we meet again A very special thank you to Valley View Villa and Moms all dedicated caregivers especially Rachel and Jodi.
