Walter Ray NeCaise Obituary

Ray NeCaise, age 83, of Long Beach, passed away on September 27, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Sylvester NeCaise and Mary Jean NeCaise; a son, Walter Ray Necaise, Jr; 7 brothers, Charles, Delma, Duane, Bruce, Roy, Ted Paul, Walter “Butch” NeCaise.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ann Mason NeCaise; a daughter, Pamela N. Crowley (Rev. Paul); 4 grandchildren, Andrew Crowley (Amanda), Aaron Crowley, Victoria NeCaise, and Alexandra NeCaise; 1 great-granddaughter, Scarlett Rae Fulton; sisters, Marie Aline Nicholas, Agnes Cary, and Linda Crose Hays; numerous nieces, nephews, and the Peyregne family of Bayou La Batre, AL.

Mr. NeCaise served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a retired agent with Nationwide Insurance. He was a past member and president of Gulfport Exchange Club where he worked to establish clubs in Hancock County, Stone County, and Pascagoula. Mr. NeCaise worked diligently to promote the Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.

The family would like to express sincere appreciation to Dr. Schwartz, Dr. Sacks, and the staff at the Biloxi VA for their care and concern for Mr. NeCaise over the past few weeks.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made to The Baptist Children’s Village, P.O. Box 27, Clinton, MS 39060-0027.
