Janet D. Wallaker, age 89 of Faribault, died on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at North Memorial Hospital, Robinsdale. A memorial service will be held at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Dan Ford officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault. A recording of the service may be viewed by clicking on 'Service Webcast' above. Visitation will be at Boldt Funeral Home one hour prior to service. Janet Delores Wallaker was born on September 13, 1931 to Leon and Violet (Diers) Kleist in Medford. She graduated Valedictorian from Medford High School, then went on to graduate from the MN School of Business. Janet married Donald Wallaker on June 26, 1954 in Medford. Janet was an active member of the Faribault Evangelical Free Church and she had a very strong faith in the Lord. She volunteered at Faribault Senior Center and District One Hospital’s gift shop. She is survived by her two sons, John Wallaker of St. Paul and Tom (and Kim) Wallaker of St. Cloud; grandsons, Luke (and fiancé Ashley) and Brett (and Reece); great grandchildren, Avery, Melody, Raynah, Kaius and Kenna; sister, Judy (and Bruce) Hankerson of Tampa Bay, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Keith Kleist.
