Robin Hickman Obituary

Valeria “Robin” Anderson Hickman, 84 of Ringgold, passed away on Saturday, September 26th, 2020.

Robin was born in Anniston, AL and later moved with her family to Chattanooga where she met and married Bruce Hickman, Jr.  They were married for 64 years and lived and raised their family in Chattanooga and the North Georgia area.

She retired in 1998 from Fletcher Bright Company where she was employed for many years as a Property Manager.

Robin enjoyed watching Auburn football, playing games, doing puzzles and especially her weekly trip to the beauty shop. Music was a great pleasure for her and she woke each day with a “song of the day” to share.

Robin was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce A. Hickman, Jr.; her parents Leonard and Effie Sheffield Anderson; and sister, Donna Anderson Bradford.

Robin took great pride in being the matriarch of five generations.

Survivors include daughters, Michelle (Gary) Smith and Melody (Marty) DiClemente; grandchildren: Jenna (Chris) McCormack; Andrea (Brittney) Grant; Thatcher Yates (Leah Kellehan); and Riley, Burke and Braden DiClemente; great grandchildren: Danielle Strader (Casey Hall), Kelsey (Zach) Balding, Morgan McCormack (Andrew Morton) and Tatum Yates; great great grandchildren: Parker Balding, Finnley Morton and Gunnar Hall; extended family: Valerie Coates and Phillip Ashmore and many nieces and nephews.

A private interment will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
