"Our dear mother, Yolanda suddenly passed away on September the 18th, 2020. God in his mercy decided to take her away.

Yolanda was born in Bogotá, Colombia on May 11th, 1941; she was Dr. Maximiliano Llorente’s widow and loving mother of Luz Marina, Maximiliano and Dario. She spent her youth in New York, city she loved during all her life. Later she lived in Bogota where she raised her children and she spent her last years in Florida.

We know she is with our Father and all the dear family members who are in heaven and will be the beacon of light illuminating our path.

We will remember her for her forever young spirit, her joyful and courageous personality, her insatiable curiosity and for her thirst of knowledge.

 A mass will be celebrated at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church Thursday, October 1st 2020 at 11 AM for all relatives and friends that can attend, and it will be also available via video streaming. To have access go to the link www.skdrexel.org/  and click on “Attend mass online”.”

 

El viernes,18 de septiembre de 2020 falleció nuestra querida mamá, Yolanda, de forma sorpresiva. Dios todo poderoso en su misericordia decidió llevársela.

Yolanda nació en Bogotá, Colombia el 11 de mayo de 1941, viuda del difunto Dr.  Maximiliano Llorente y madre de Luz Marina, Maximiliano y Dario. Vivió durante su juventud en Nueva York ciudad que amó durante toda su vida. Más tarde se radicó en Bogotá donde educó a sus hijos para finalmente vivir sus últimos años en la Florida.

Estamos seguros de que ahora está en compañía de nuestro papá y personas queridas que marcaron para ella una huella e ilumina nuestro camino.

La queremos recordar en este momento como esa persona con espíritu siempre joven, increíblemente simpática, con un temple de acero que no le temía a nada y con esa curiosidad insaciable y ganas de aprender cosas nuevas durante toda su vida.
