Laura Annie Elizabeth Booten Hoffman Obituary
Laura Annie Elizabeth Booten Hoffman peacefully transitioned on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at her home.
Laura was born on March 26, 1912 in Culpeper County Virginia to the late Burnette and Sallie Shanks Booten. She was the eighth out of ten children. Eight of her siblings have preceded her in death.
At an early age she became a faithful member of the Canaan Baptist Church in Reva, Virginia. Laura enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and enjoyed the fruits of her labor.
Laura was united in holy matrimony on June 11, 1934 to Jesse Hoffman and was married for 66 years. From this union were five children, Jesse Jr., Gene, Mary, Elizabeth and Florence.
In addition to her parents and eight of her siblings, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Hoffman, Sr., and two sons, Jesse Jr. and Gene.
Laura leaves to cherish her beautiful memories; three daughters, Mary Hoffman, Elizabeth Burrell and Florence Williams; one sister, Dollie Berry; two sons-in-law, Amos Burrell, Jr. and Samuel Williams; thirty-two grandchildren; seventy great-grandchildren; eighty-seven great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
