Rose Campanella Obituary

Rose Campanella age ,100, passed away peacefully September 28, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.  Rose was affectionately and lovingly known  as "Nanny" by all who knew her, and all who knew her loved her dearly.  She was married to Dominick Campanella for many years, who preceded her in death in 1985.

'Nanny' loved to love on her children, Grandchildren & GreatGrandchildren as often as she could.  She would cook and bake and cook and bake some more for everyone that came to her house.  She was famous for her baking, especially for her delicious Italian S Cookies!  Everyone would always ask for them and more. Whenever her grandchildren & great grandchildren needed anything made or sewn they knew who to go to. She would sew up ripped pants, hem a dress, repair a zipper, add boyscout patches to a shirt, faster than you could finish telling her what you needed. She was an amazing strong Italian Grandmother, the Matriarch of our Family, whom everyone loved dearly.

Simply put, her hobbies were her family, always her priority. Well let's not forget her reading, she loved a good ol romance novel. What do you buy a woman who has everything she needed, a good book, but we could never find any because she read just about everyone. She would always tell everyone not to buy her anything because she had all she needed, her family!  She was most happy when she was with her family or making or doing something for them.  She lived her entire 100 years of life for her entire family. She was a very selfless woman who always put her family first.  She was the role model of all role models for any and all women from 100 years ago till today!

She will be dearly missed but we know she knew how much we all loved her and that makes all of our hearts warm. Until we see you again...

Rose is preceded in death by, her husband Dominick Campanella, brothers Angelo Musumecci, Frank Musumecci, Joseph Musumecci, and Sister Anne Buglione(Campanella), Granddaughters, Donna DeVito (1991) & Lisa Guerriero (DeVito) (2018).
