Frances Pleune

Frances Alice Pleune of Belmont went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 22, 2017. Fran was 92 years old. She is survived by her loving children; Linda Meyer, Carol VanderWoude, Marcia (Ralph) VanKuiken, Don (Bonnie) Pleune, Brian (Susan) Pleune; daughter-in-law Mary Jo Pleune; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and brothers John (Hermina), and Roger (Marilyn) Groot. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Pleune; her son, Larry Pleune; and her siblings Dorothy, Richard, George, Harold, and Robert Groot. Frances came from a very musical family and enjoyed playing the piano. She worked as a medical transcriptionist and retired from Grand Valley Radiology. Fran will be dearly missed by her family but are comforted by knowing we will see her again with our Heavenly Father. Please join us in celebrating Frances' life on Friday, May 26, 11:00 AM, at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE). Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 AM prior to the service on Friday. A light lunch will be served immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice. A special thank you goes to Faith Hospice, and all the nurses and aides that cared for Frances at Holland Home Raybrook Nursing Unit.
