John Cobin Martin, Sr.

<p>SSG(ret) John C. Martin, age 62 of New Market, died Friday.&nbsp; Born to Paul and Vera Martin, he traveled the world with his Air Force&nbsp;family, until they settled in Huntsville, AL in the 1970s.&nbsp; Upon his graduation from Butler High School, John entered the United States Army.&nbsp; As a missile specialist, he was stationed in Germany, Ft Hood, Ft Bliss, and other assignments.&nbsp; Upon his retirement, John settled back into Huntsville where he has remained.&nbsp; He was a jack of all trades.&nbsp; He loved home repair, automotive, and HVAC.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his sister, Vicky Martin and brother-in-law Wayne Williamson.</p> <p>John is survived by his, son, Chris Martin, and wife Belinda; daughter, Keli Scearce, and her husband Jason; son, John Martin, Jr; brother, Paul Martin; sister Sandie Williamson; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.</p> <p>Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville.&nbsp;&nbsp; Entombment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.</p> <p>In Lieu of Flowers donations are requested to the U. Obituary

SSG(ret) John C. Martin, age 62 of New Market, died Friday.  Born to Paul and Vera Martin, he traveled the world with his Air Force family, until they settled in Huntsville, AL in the 1970s.  Upon his graduation from Butler High School, John entered the United States Army.  As a missile specialist, he was stationed in Germany, Ft Hood, Ft Bliss, and other assignments.  Upon his retirement, John settled back into Huntsville where he has remained.  He was a jack of all trades.  He loved home repair, automotive, and HVAC.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Vicky Martin and brother-in-law Wayne Williamson.
