Dave Govier North Brantford, Ontario Obituary

Dave Govier

GOVIER, William David (May 20, 1959 - September 24, 2020) On September 24th, 2020 Dave's courageous nine month battle came to an end. As he so wished, his partner and best friend Dianne Bryson and their beloved Willow were at his side. Dave is also survived by son Mark (Heather), daughter Bailey (Otino), brother Tim (Patti), and sisters Cheryl and Lisa. He was predeceased by wife Wendy. Dave was a much loved member of Dianne's family. He always looked forward to their get togethers, and appreciated their ongoing unconditional support throughout his illness. Dave lived a simple life. His fondest memories came from cycling, cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs, his Chevy truck, trying new craft beers, barbecuing, long hikes with his dogs, but most of all family gatherings and celebrations. He was excited and proud to recently become a great uncle to Carter Betts (August 2020). Friends will be received at the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME 495 Park Road N. on Sunday October 18, 2020 from 1-3 pm. Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid-19 protocol face coverings and social distancing is mandatory. Donations may be made in memory of Dave to the Tim Horton’s Foundation-Camps or to the Brant SPCA.
