Phillip C. “Phil” McDonald, a native of Mobile, AL and a longtime resident of Saraland, AL died Monday, May 22, 2017 in a local hospital. Mr. McDonald was a member of Fountain of Life Church, a U.S. Army veteran, and retired from Local #119 and Lenzing Fibers. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, Alabama football, and antique cars. He was a dedicated family man who enjoyed family vacations and holidays and Sunday’s with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos C. and Marie Ward McDonald. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Wanda McDonald; three sons, Glenn (Crystal) McDonald, Lennie (Mary) McDonald, and Lee (Kim) McDonald; one brother, Stephen (Mary) McDonald; two sisters, his twin Phyllis (Dennis) Lipford and Linda (Roy) Weaver; three grandchildren, Blake McDonald, Fayth McDonald, and Megan McDonald; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 11 A.M. until the 12:30 P.M. funeral service at Fountain of Life Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Foundation or Fountain of Life Church. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
