PRESQUE ISLE: Effie G. Lyons 93 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday May 20, 2017 at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 16, 1924 in Portage, the daughter of Delbert and Pearl (Clark) Lyons. She worked as a domestic worker for a number of families. She was a very active member of the State Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to TOPS to work out and going to Tim Hortons for her cappuccino. She is survived by two sisters; Virginia Michaud and her husband Leonide of Waterville, Clara Fye of Center Hall, PA., a brother Milton Lyons of Presque Isle, her good friend Alberta Todd of Presque Isle, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings; Don, Alfred, Opal, Arthur, Lona, and Eugenia. Friends may call 1pm Wednesday May 24, 2017 at State Street Baptist Church where funeral services will be held at 2PM with Pastor Robert Leland officiating.
