John W Cornelison

Mr. John W. Cornelison Jr. age 64, passed away Saturday September 26th 2020 at G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery V.A. Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Tuesday September 29th from 5:30PM until 7:00PM and again on Wednesday September 30th from 9:00AM until 9:50AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 30th, 2020 at 10:00AM at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS with a graveside service to follow at Crossroads Baptist Cemetery in Pelahatchie,MS. Brother John Vaughn will officiate. Mr. Cornelison had lived in Pelahatchie, MS for the past 30 years. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Pelahatchie,MS. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, ride motorcycles, raise honey bees and build swimming pools. Mr. Cornelison served his country in the United States Marines. He is preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Cornelison and his grandchild Cody Byrd. He is survived by his father, John Cornelison Sr. (Barbara) of Pelahatchie,MS; five daughters, Johnelyn Lloyd (Jared) of Brandon, MS, Elizabeth Brock of Brandon, MS, Blair Crowson (John) of Brandon, MS, Jessica Cornelison of Pelahatchie, MS, Erica Fitzhugh (Josh) of Morton, MS; two sons, Marc Byrd of Florence, MS and Michael Byrd (Jessica) of Florence, MS; three sisters, Linda Pickard (Kevin) of Hernando, MS, Brenda Prewitt (Bubba) of Senatobia, MS, and Wanda Bynum of Brandon, MS, twelve grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers are, Kevin Pickard, Bubba Prewitt, Larry Mills, Keith Watson, Donnie Harrell, and David Sikes.
