It is with great sadness that the family of Shane Houle announce his passing on September 22, 2020 in Ebb & Flow, MB at the age of 30 years.
Shane was the first born to Eddie Shingoose and Priscilla Houle on December 30, 1989 at the Dauphin Hospital.  Shane was raised by his grandparents Howard and Audgie.  
Shane’s childhood siblings were Trey Shingoose, Joel Daniels, Justin Shingoose, Elexis Shingoose, Wendy Houle, Donna Choken, Annisa Houle, David Jr. Choken and Kerri Choken; adoptive sisters, Angie Angus, Bonnie Flett-Baptiste, Shiela Flett. There are many nieces and nephews; his daughter Evah Sophia Spence born July 29, 2009; and his grandparents Arlene and Darren Moousseau Sr. 
Everyone remembers Shane’s big, beautiful eyes when he was a baby.  As a child Shane is remembered by his aunts Angie, Bonnie and Sheila, whom he called sisters, as always smiling, being silly and laughing with his mischievous laugh.
Shane was very close to his grandpa Howard.  He was given the nickname “Little Goomba”, which his grandpa continued to call him into his adulthood. Shane had a very large family and had different bonds with everyone.  Shane enjoyed visiting his family and friends.
In his 20’s Shane became sick which eventually led to the loss of use of his legs.  Shane’s life changed dramatically, and his grandparents Howard and Audgie continued to care for him.  Shane slowly became a private person, but he still had the urge to go out and visit his family members.  His visits were short but sweet, and these were Shane’s happy moments.
Shane’s best friend was his dad, Eddie.  Shane very much enjoyed his outings with his dad, going for drives and just doing things together like getting hair cuts and taking silly pictures together.
Shane was very good with computers.  He would take electronics apart and put them back together or make something new.  When he was younger, Jeff would call him MacGyver.  Shane enjoyed the company of his nieces and nephews, especially his late-night gaming sessions with Mikka, Sammy and his brother David Jr.  Shane had special bonds with his family members.  He would use his personal experiences to offer advice. Shane was very humble.  His family knew there was so much he wanted to do.  He never asked for much, but whatever he wanted his grandpa Howard and grandma Audgie made sure he got it.  Shane will always be remembered for his courage during difficult times and even though he took his life we know he is at rest.  Prior to his death, Shane focussed on self-care techniques to battle his depression.  The last words he wrote were; positive vibrations in your voice, do not judge others, use your manners, be honest, self care, quite swearing, treat people how you want to be treated, be nice no matter what.  He was very generous and considerate of others.  Every time his sisters or grandparents went shopping, he would send a list and his bankcard.  He always said “get yourself something or if you need something”.  Shane would always think of others and would offer what he had if someone needed something.
The family would like to thank the Ste. Rose General Hospital, Emergency First Responders, and friends and family for your presence and donations.

There was two wake services.  1st Wake Service was on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 5:00 pm from the residence of Eddie Shingoose and Charlene McIvor, 330 Northwest Road, Ebb and Flow First Nation.  2nd Wake Service was on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 5:00 pm from the residence of Howard Houle and Audrey Flett, 821 Joe Houle Road, Ebb and Flow First Nation.  

Funeral Service was held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 1:00 pm from the residence of Howard Houle and Audrey Flett, 821 Joe Houle Road, Ebb and Flow First Nation.  

Interment in the Ebb and Flow Cemetery.
