Judith M. Hoyer

Judith M. (nee Mount) Hoyer of Ardmore, PA, and formerly of Bala Cynwyd, PA, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 26, 2020 (their wedding anniversary). Judy was the beloved wife of Marc G. Hoyer for 61 years. She was also the loving mother of Michael F. Hoyer, Kimberly H. (W. Joseph) Henrich, Gregory W. (Barbara) Hoyer, Stephen M. (Lisa) Hoyer, Eric G. (Jody) Hoyer, and the late Christopher M. Hoyer. Judy was the grandmother of Kerrin E. Packard, Micaela L. Hoyer, Victoria A. Hoyer, Rachel M. Hoyer, Marc F. Hoyer, William F. (Kristin Prantner) Henrich, Charlotte M. Henrich, W. Joseph (Amanda) Henrich, Jonathan S. Henrich, Alfonso Hoyer, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Hoyer, Raymond G. Hoyer, Matthew J. Hoyer, Theodore J. Hoyer, Elizabeth A. Hoyer, James V. Hoyer, Benjamin M. Hoyer, Douglas M. Hoyer, Durin J. Hoyer, Emmett O. Hoyer, Eva E. Kraus, and the late John W. Hoyer. She was also great-grandmother to Kerianne Hughes, Arhianna Michael, Julius, Julian, and Alfonso. Judy was born in Newark, NJ on January 14, 1939 to Francis and Anne (nee Schreiber) Mount. She was a graduate of Mount St. Dominic’s High School in Caldwell, NJ and continued her education at Upsala College in East Orange, NJ. Judy also studied at St. Charles Seminary in Wynnewood, PA and became the Director of Religious Studies at St. Colman’s Church in Ardmore, PA. She and her husband, Marc, moved to Center City, Philadelphia after making their home on Bryn Mawr Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, PA for many years. Judy was also very active in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Philadelphia. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, October 1, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM and to her Funeral Mass following at 11:00 AM, both in Saint Matthias Church, 128 Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. In lieu of flowers, an offering in Judith Mount Hoyer’s memory to Saint Matthias Church would be greatly appreciated. In accordance with CDC guidelines, all attendees will be asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and restrain from physical contact. Thank you.
