Roy passed away peacefully on September 25, 2020 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn, parents Irene and Leonard Walker, and step-father Marvin (Shorty) Sundholm and brother Floyd.

Roy is survived by his daughters Nicolle (Brian), Chrystal (Jon), grandchildren Stephanie, Connor, Courtney, Thomas, Tapainga and Cameron, siblings Wes (Val), Alice (Bill), Doug (Monica), Joyce (Garry) and Kelly (Pam), sister-in-law Rhonda and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Roy loved to work hard and played hard. In his younger years he worked for places such as Midwest Diamond drilling, carpentry with Rodger McMurdo and Capital Petroleum Regina. Roy and Evelyn returned to their hometown of Rose Valley where, for several years, Roy did carpentry work and later took a job with the RM of Ponass Lake where he was employed as a grader operator until his passing. Described by hundreds to be one of the best guys you could ever meet, he loved to be surrounded by the people he cared about most and was always the life of any social gathering. He was comical, witty, and charming. He treated everyone with respect and love and received the same. He was always willing to lend a hand or a tool. He will be greatly missed in his community.

A special thank you to the staff at the Kelvington and Yorkton Hospital and Mrs. Elaine Halverson for going above and beyond for Roy while he stayed at the Rose Valley Manor.
