Vada Jane Thacker Charles, 88 of Phyllis, KY passed away Friday, September 25, 2020 at her residence. Vada was born on June 12, 1932 to the late Ghomer and Myrtle Justice Thacker in Pike County, Kentucky. Besides both parents, Vada was preceded in death by her husband, Kedna Charles; sons, Kedna Dwayne Charles and Estill McClellan Charles; brother, William Howard Worrix; sisters, Martha Edith Moore and Emogene Thacker Fields. Vada is survived by two loving daughters, Glenna Sue Hunt and Linda Lou Bowman and her husband, Bob; grandchildren, Amber Anderson and her husband, Kevin, Lance Bowman and his wife, Jeanette, Reagan Hunt, Jamie Hunt and his spouse, Cindy, Matthew Bowman and his wife, Keisha, William Joshua Charles and his wife, Aimee; great grandchildren, Maranda Wright, Jacob Wright, Madison Hunt, Lindsey Bowman, Lucas Hunt, Owen Bowman, Ava Jade Charles, Gabrielle Hunt, Eli Bowman, Riley Bowman and Mallory Bowman. Vada will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will accept friends at the Thacker Memorial Chapel 6:00 PM, Monday September 28, 2020 and Tuesday, September 29, 2020 with services each night at 7:00 PM with Jimmy Lee Smith, Ricky Worrix and others officiating. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery of Pikeville, KY. Thacker Memorial Inc. will be handling all arrangements for the Charles Family.
