Mr. Joel Dean Morris, age 62, husband of Pamela Tutterrow Morris of 434 Morris Farm Rd., Jonesville passed away, Friday, September 25, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

            Mr. Morris was born in Union, November 23, 1957, a son of the late Harold Dean and Betty Joyce Carter Morris. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and attended Anderson College and USC-Upstate. Mr. Morris was retired from Wells Fargo Bank and was a member of Oakbrook Community Church. He served as Music Minister at Gilead Baptist Church for a number of years and also served as organist and Music Minster at other churches as he was needed.

            Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Katie Morris of Spartanburg; a sister, Tammie Burgess and husband Rev. Randy Burgess of Jonesville; a brother, Eric Morris and wife Tami of Granite Falls, NC; several nieces and nephews including Lacy Burgess, Jessica Burgess and husband Aaron and Joshua Morris; several great-nieces and nephews and a large number of in-laws.

            Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, September 28, 2020 at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Randy Burgess and Rev. Shawn Ingle.

            The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the services.

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakbrook Community Church, P.O. Box 538, Jonesville SC 29353.

            The family will be at the home of his sister, Tammie and Rev. Randy Burgess, 415 Morris Farm Rd., Jonesville.
